Nicole Profetto- Jazz Instructor
Nicole began dancing at the age of 3 just for fun at the local Kiwanis club. At age 11, she decided to get more serious about dance and she joined professionals Paul and Anita Gordon at Paul Gordon Dancers in Hamilton. Training in jazz, tap, ballet, modern and being a part of the dance company allowed Nicole to really fulfill her passion of dance. Over the years, Nicole performed numerous shows with the dance company, as well as assisted magician Rick Rossini in a benefit and auction show and performed in the Hope of Easter with the band, The Acoustics. After graduating teachers college and becoming a mom of twins, Nicole has gained the skills necessary to have patience in teaching children who each have unique learning styles and comprehension. When she began teaching at Broadway Bound 2004, it was like a switch went off and she realized that actually teaching dance was the piece of her life that was missing, and she has never looked back. Nicole has taught predance, jazz, musical theatre, tap, lyrical and hip hop at Broadway Bound but now focuses primarily on jazz. This year, she decided to go back to school and is working on her diploma in Child and Youth Care and hopes to use some of her new knowledge with her students. Nicole is very much looking forward to getting back in the studio and having a wonderful season at Broadway Bound!
